Frequently asked questions
How do I start the free trial?
Open the Intel tab or go to Alerts → Manage Subscription, then tap "Start Free Trial." The 7-day trial is free of charge and converts to a paid subscription afterward unless you cancel.
How do I cancel my subscription?
All FloodArk subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, choose FloodArk, then tap Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
How do refunds work?
Refunds are handled directly by Apple. Visit
reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, and request a refund. FloodArk cannot issue refunds on Apple's behalf.
Does the subscription support Family Sharing?
Yes. One FloodArk subscription covers up to five family members through Apple Family Sharing. Set it up in iOS Settings → Family.
How do I delete my data?
Email
privacy@flood-ark.com from the device you'd like deleted, or include your install ID (visible in Alerts → About). We respond within 45 days as required by California law and most state privacy statutes.
Why didn't I receive a push notification?
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → FloodArk and confirm notifications are allowed. FloodArk only sends push alerts when the hazards it monitors directly (wildfire, precipitation, air quality) become relevant for a place you've saved. Calm conditions never trigger a notification.
The radar looks delayed or empty in my area.
The radar refreshes every few minutes from upstream weather feeds. Brief gaps usually mean an upstream source is catching up. If the issue persists for more than 30 minutes, please email
support@flood-ark.com with your approximate location and the time you noticed the issue.
Why is the Intel brief labeled "AI-generated"?
The brief is written each day by Anthropic's Claude based on real-time radar, satellite, agency-issued forecasts, and other authoritative signals. We label it clearly so you always know the paragraph is generated, and we show the underlying data right below so you can cross-check it. Anthropic never receives information that identifies you.
FloodArk is showing a calm reading but I see news of a hazard nearby.
FloodArk is a weather and hazard companion, not an official emergency-management service. For active emergencies, always follow guidance from the National Weather Service and your local first responders. If you believe FloodArk is missing a hazard you can verify, please send us details at
support@flood-ark.com.
Does FloodArk work outside the United States?
FloodArk is built for the United States. Coverage outside U.S. territory is limited or unavailable, and we do not yet support international hazard data sources.
How do I report a security issue?
Please email
legal@flood-ark.com with a description of the issue. We acknowledge security reports within two business days.
